Our Story
The Awesome Ranch, LLC. was founded in 2021 in Canyon, Texas by Ashley Steuer and Anthony Goldsmith. It’s mission was simple: raise quality, parasite-resistant sheep and horses. It has since moved to Edmore, MI, where the ranch is currently in operation. We have now expanded to include a small herd of dairy goats and offering Parasitology Consultation Services.

Dr. Ashley Steuer grew up in West Michigan, where she met her husband, Anthony Goldsmith. As a small child, she always wanted to have a farm and be a veterinarian. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 with a BS in Animal Science and attended Vet School at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with her DVM in 2016. During Veterinary School, she developed an interest in animal parasites and subsequently completed a PhD in Veterinary Science with a subspecialty in Parasitology, as well as a Parasitology Residency in 2020 at the University of Kentucky. She then taught the inaugural class at Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine and worked there until 2022, when she joined industry.
Now, she works at a local veterinary clinic, primarily caring for cats, dogs, and exotic species. Dr. Ashley offers a variety of Parasitology consulting services for farms and veterinarians. She is hoping to sit for the ACVM Parasitology boards this fall.
